The weather is finally warming up and we’re so excited to start throwing some outdoor BBQs! This DIY yarn sign is a fun way to get the kids involved in the party planning process. Have them make a sign with your family name like we did, or try a simple greeting like “Welcome to the party.”

What you will need:

Yarn

Twine

Cardboard

Hole punch

Glue

Instructions:

Step 1: Cut yarn in short strips and spell out the message you want to display on your sign.

Step 2: Line up the yarn and glue each letter down onto the cardboard. Let the glue dry completely.

Step 3: Punch a hole on either side of the sign.

Step 4: Attach a piece of twine to the sign and secure it in place by tying two knots at each end. Have your little ones hang the sign up on the front door the day of your party!

What you will need:

Colored felt

Pinking shears

Glue

Candy/goodies

Instructions:

Step 1: Layer two sheets of felt and cut out an egg shape. Repeat this step with different colored felt and in different sizes!

Step 2: Using the pinking shears, cut the top layer of the egg in half.

Step 3: Use the glue along the edges of the felt to glue the two pieces together. Let it dry completely.

Step 4: Once the glue is dry, fill your easter egg treat bags with candy or goodies of your choice.

Balloons are an essential party accessory for any celebration bash. These DIY glitter initial balloons are a super simple way to give ordinary balloons a little sparkle and a personal touch!

What you will need:

Balloons

Glitter

Glue

Paint brush

Large letter stickers

Instructions:

Step 1: Fill up balloons with helium. We love using twine instead of string to tie to the balloons.

Step 2: Choose a letter sticker of your choice and stick it on the center of the balloon.

Step 3: Using the paint brush apply a layer of glue over the letter. Don’t be afraid to get messy during this step…it’s all going to covered in glitter anyway!

Step 4:Pour the glitter over the area with glue. Make sure the over the entire area around the letter!

Step 5: Peel the letter sticker off the ballon and unveil your awesome glitter initial balloon!

Colorful paper

Single hole punch

Bamboo skewers

Twine

Glue

Instructions:

Step 1: Punch out several pieces of confetti in a variety of different colors.

Step 2: Measure the diameter of your cake and cut a piece of twine to match.

Step 3: Using a toothpick, apply glue to the back of the confetti.

Step 4: Glue the confetti in a line along the twine alternating colors. We created two two lines of confetti so that we could layer them.

Step 5: Tie the ends of the twine to the bamboo skewers.

Step 6: Decorate your cake with your wonderful new confetti cake topper!

What you will need:

Feathers

Twine

Hot glue gun

Instructions:

Step 1: Cut a piece of twine and tie a double knot at the top of the base of the feather.

Step 2: Start wrapping the twine around the base. Make sure to pull the twine tight when wrapping.

Step 3: Apply a small amount of hot glue to the bottom of the feather. Continue wrapping the twine until you reach the end of the feather, then cut off the excess twine.

Step 4: Continue steps 1-3 with all of the feathers.

Step 5: Once you’re finished you can add the name of your guests on a piece of paper and attach it to the feather!

Instructions:

Step 1: Choose a rock with a large flat surface. Using the hot glue gun, glue on two googly eyes.

What you will need:

Felted wool pom poms  (available on Etsy or at craft stores)

Needle

Twine

Manzanita branch (available at craft stores or online)

Instructions:

Step 1:  Cut several pieces of twine in different lengths.

Step 2: Thread the twine through the needle and leave the ends loose. Pierce the center of the pom pom with the threaded needle and pull the twine all the way through.

Step 3: Repeat step 2 with 3-5 pom poms on each piece of twine, depending on length. Space the pom poms out evenly along the twine and tie a knot at the end of each piece.

Step 4: Tie the twine in a double knot to the manzanita branch.

Step 5:  Vary the spacing of each piece of twine on the manzanita branch.

Instructions:

Step 1: Apply a thin layer of glue to the bottom of each utensil. We suggest making each glitter tip 1-2″ long.

What you will need:

Large circle hole punch  (3.5″ diameter)

Color paper

Gold thread

Needle

Instructions:

Step 1: Punch out several confetti rounds in each different color of paper.

Step 2: Thread the needle with the gold thread.

Step 3: Begin threading confetti pieces one by one, alternating colors.

Step 4: When all the confetti pieces have been threaded together, tie each end in a slip knot with a loop so it’s easy to hang!
