Spring is (finally) here! It’s been a long winter for many of us, and we couldn’t be happier to usher in a new season. Our DIY bird feeder is a fun and easy recycled craft that will help you welcome the birds back from their travels and celebrate the warmer weather to come!
What you will need:
Empty 1 liter bottle
2 wooden mixing spoons
Step 1: Using the X-acto, knife cut out a small circle about 2″ from the bottom of the bottle.
Step 2: On the direct opposite side of the bottle, make several incisions in a starburst shape so that the handle of the spoon is able to poke through it.
Step 3: Repeat steps 1 & 2 a few inches above and perpendicular to the first set of holes. Insert the spoons in the holes.
Step 4:Fill the bottle with bird seeds using a funnel.
Step 5: Screw eye bolt into the cap of the bottle.
Step 6: Cut a piece of twine.
Step 7: Attach the twine to the eye bolt.
Step 8: Hang your bird feeder up in your backyard and let the bird watching begin!
