I have to say my Fav book is Kite Runner. It made my Jaw drop and I havent found anything yet to pass it. My kids Fav book righ tnow is My brother Charlie. We have two one signed ( in the cabinet) other for the kids. It is writen by Holly R Peete and Ryan Peete. Amazing family and the Celebirty apprentice does not do her justice. But they are doing amazing things in LA for Autism.

Fav book is hard to say....I will have to think about this for a bit
One of my favourites of all time is an Australian series called Tomorrow when the war began by John Marsden. A brillant series most people in Australia have grown up with. They have just finished making the first movie.

Its about these teenagers who go away camping for a week or so in a really remote part of the bush. When they get back they find Australia has been invaded and they are forced to fight back just to survive. Its amazing.

At the moment I'm really into Phillipa Gregory's Tudor series. Can't put it down.
I also loved Kite Runner (but didn't enjoy the film version - I've already 'made' the film in my head when reading the book!) I just read a book that I think tops KR - Of Bees and Mist. Totally different genre, this one's a kind of fairy tale for grown-ups. Please try it - it's amazing and I couldn't put it down.
A Thousand Splendid Suns comes close to KITE RUNNER. Same author. What a wonderful storyteller!
A Thousand Splendid Suns hmmm ... I will have to look at that one. Sounds interesting.
Yes the movie could have been so much better! I too had a more detailed movie it was too short and just did not hit the spot.Another to add to the list. All these Fav books I will add to a list on a disscussion and we can all discuss them. I really wish agian i could put 100% of my time into this club it is just i am trying to pull a foundation together from nothing. So do bare with my late post :)

I also LOVED Kite Runner. I have avoided the movie because some books I am afraid will be ruined in my head if the movie does not live up to it.

My all time favorite book ever would be John Irving's A Prayer for Owen Meany. It's a slow start but the ending is so totally worth it.

Blessings, C
Hi Chris! Yes I think the Movie was too short and did not do the book justice.

I will look at that Thanks for your Input !
