Do you like using digital photo editors for your images? Or do you just snap your photos and print them straight from the camea?

I enjoy the creative process of using different editing processes with Photoshop CS2. Its really interesting how you can set different moods and styles with a few clicks. What is your favorite program and what features do you use for your photographs?

A couple of good photo programs are Photoshop, Photoshop Elements and I find a great free organizer editor in Picasa.

I totally agree about obtaining different moods through various post-processing techniques. I use Photoshop CS4 for Jpg processing, and Adobe ACR for Raw image processing.
I'm with Jeanelle. I still use cs4 for most of the visual work I have to do, granted I'm very novice and stumble my way through.
I just recently got corel paintshop pro photo x2, bought it used, so I don't think it is the newest version, but I am really enjoying it so far!! Before, I was just using the Walgreens.com website to touch up what I could, but I can do so much more now! I am loving it!
I do both. I love Photoshop CS4 like it's part of my body but I also love having a photo 'naked' as I call it. Straight from the camera.
This is one of my naked photos

That looks awesome for no editing Jen! Once in a lifetime lighting!

Thanks Joseph! That day was incredible!
Here is another shot from earlier that evening.
I use CS4 or Photoscape. I started out with Picasa, then quickly grew out of it. I only lightly like to enhance images, but I do love turning pics into different forms of art.
I have a pretty unhealthy fear of letting my "naked" photos loose in the world. I do 90% of my shooting in RAW so I really have to do some sort of tweaking.

I use Lightroom and CS3 and love them both!
I use editing programs (Picasa or Picnik) mostly for pictures of people because I think it and express more of a mood that way, but for landscapes I like to keep them as is.

I'm planning on getting Photoshop soon but for now what I use will do.

One of the pictures is a sunset, no editing. The other one is a person with editing.

I don't do a lot of editing of my photos but have found Picasa to be a decent free editor that allows me to enhance the contrast of my wildflower photos and really make them pop of the screen.

An example of the difference a little enhancement with a basic editor like Picasa can do to the initial photo.  Subtle but makes a difference.
