I'm the mom of an "emo" teen. That can be both good and bad. For me, I allow somethings because its party of the identity of who he is, and as long as its safe for him and others, its ok. But when its not safe (and there are a lot of things about being an emo that aren't), that's where I draw the line. Anyone else have an emo teen?

I also have a son in California - my emo teens younger brother, who has lived with his dad since 2004 and we haven't seen since, and we're trying to see him.

Just a question on how anyone helps a child heal from a broken heart with out saying "it's ok"  and WITHOUT putting the other person down, weather it's a death or a break up.

Thanks in advance

God Bless
