About Me
I'm a 44 yr old wife (22 yrs on Aug 25th). I have one son, Brendon who is 23 yrs old. I'm a recovering addict/alcoholic, who is loving my second opportunity at life! I started making earrings and bracelets, also I make soy candles. We moved to a big city area (Philly) in 2009 and since we rescued a cat, Ms. Becki and now a dog, Domino. I try to be as active as my body will allow. I'm on disability but I don't want that to define me! I'm REALLY loving my new and improved life! God is so good! 8)

Sorry missed this question:

I use a Nikon D5000 with 18-55mm lens and a 70-300mm lens for zoom shots.  I do a slight amount of post processing to optimize contrast in some cases to make the flowers and butterfly pop.   I find the biggest key is patience and willingness to take several shots of your subject.  Try different angles and most importantly try to get down to the level of your subject.  When I shoot flowers or butterflies I try to get to my knees or on my elbows so my shot is not down on the subject.  Also don't be afraid to use free editing software.  I don't adjust my pictures much but will tweak lighting and contrast to optimize the impact of the shot.  Hope that helps.
