Signs

My grandfather died on Wednesday. He was 89 ½ years old. Born on June 18, 1920, he was a strong man, full of stories of the past. He managed to keep kids and adults alike enthralled with his story telling. If you had been around awhile, you would begin to hear the same stories over and over again, those were the ones PawPaw Jeffers thought were important enough to bear repeating, the stories that he wanted us to remember, to never forget. As he grew older,… Continue

Watch Out!

Took Michael to get his drivers license today. This process started last August actually. In August, I began telling him to study in September, I was begging him to read the book. You see, at 16 he decided he wanted his license. In Louisiana, it is cheaper if you wiat until you are 17 to get it, so we talked it over, he decided to save himself about $300 and just wait until he was 17. That was last August. In October, we made him take the 8 hour driving… Continue

Cut, Rip, Glue

Took Rose (our 40 pound-thinks-she's-a-lap-dog-shepard-mix) to the vet today. She actually belongs to our youngest, Michael. He pays for all of her needs, replaces everything she tears up, buys her food, bathes her, ect.... Let me back up and tell you about how this Rose Bud came to be a member of our family....

Almost a year ago, a neighbor got a puppy for her children. It took them about one-half hour to decide that it was probably a… Continue

Mixed Emotions

I believe that granddaughter has moved out of my house and in with her parents. For the first time in 3 years, I find myself without a Stinky Bear, a princess Cuddle bug, a sleepy bunny or even a box full of little shoes in my house. My baby has left, and I find myself (and PopPop too) walking around the house, at a loss.

I have two extremely different emotions warring within me. On the… Continue

Hi, Penny. I am so sorry to read about your little Brielynn and her surgery. Your family will be in my family's prayers. It is always sad to see the little ones go through pain, but they are more resilient than we think! Please update us on how things go! Take care, and may your family be blessed.
