About Me
Hi,
I'm 34 currently engaged to a soldier in the U.S Army (so very proud of him). I currently live in Salt Lake City, UT but will make the move to New York at the end of the year. I started a local organization called Voices Against Abuse, we help victims of abuse find the help they need and give them an outlet to share their stories.

I'm part sarcastic, part quirky, part voice of reason, part fiesty, part party hostess with the mostess, part homebody, part tomboy, part girly girl, part feminest, part one of the guys, part tree hugger, and part material girl. I'm alot of things but that is what makes me well ME! I am a comic book geek I guess you could say. I love all the old Marvel and Dc comics. Especially Superman! I love getting dirty, playing outdoors, playing in snow, planting a garden, and camping. But I always go back to my lipgloss and mascara. I love Hockey and Football alot!!! Steelers are my boys and the Devils as far as Hockey.

I like anything to do with the arts, Halloween, vampires, werewolves, witches, pirates, Disneyland, The Haunted Mansion, Pirates of the Caribbean, Disney Princesses (especially Belle), the color pink, lipgloss, mascara, high heels, frilly panties, the art of burlesque, daisies & tulips, sunshine, snow, pumpkins, the smell of Fall, chocolate, mountains, fall leaves, downtown slc, cranberry & vodka, football, soccer, hockey, roller derby, skating, riding bikes, exploring the zoo, and anything Alice in Wonderland.

I'm passing on some safety tips for Halloween that we post on my organizations website and pass out to parents.

For the little spooks

1. Be sure older children TAKE FRIENDS and younger children are

accompanied by a TRUSTED ADULT when “Trick or Treating.”

2. Accompany younger children to the door of every home they approach

and make sure parents and guardians are familiar with every… Continue

How do you De-Stress?

Posted on September 12, 2010 at 1:31pm 0 Comments

I take a cue from kids. I keep a small container of Playdoh in my desk drawer, if I get stressed I squish it and the smell makes me think of childhood. I also keep pipsqueak colored pencils and a small color book in my tote, coloring for even a few minutes has been shown to relieve stress and spark the brain to think of happier thoughts. So what childhood things can you think of to keep on hand to keep stress away, spark creativity, or just to… Continue

My favorite website at the moment

I am notorious for not keeping track of important information that my docter asks me for. I found www.thecarrot.com which provides tracking tools for pretty much everything in your life. There are medical trackers, diet trackers, and you can even track how much tv you watch.

I along with the marjority of people turn to soup when I've come down with a cold. However I am so not a fan of Chicken Noodle soup. I've come up with a recipe that is not your ordinary soup and it is meat free and delicious.

Chili Soup

1 large can of dark red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)

1 small can of light red kidney beans (drained and rinsed)

1 small can of black beans (drained and… Continue
