Get those little brains going with some good old fashioned "make believe" time. Yesterday we spent hours with two little ladies, ages 3 and 6 playing an entertaining game of doctor. We had an awesome set up, the more props you use the better the game gets. One of the ladies was dressed up as the nurse. She was set up near the bedroom door at a table with a "cash register", "phone" & "prescription pad". The nurse greeted all the patients, sat them in the waiting room, brought them to the doctor, scheduled future appointments, and rang them up on their way out. The doctor performed the check up, diagnosed the patients, bandaged them up and sent them on their way. Our office took all sorts of patients, from dogs with tummy aches, hippos with a bad case of the stripes, and mommy and daddy's with fevers. The girls loved switching roles and coming up with all sorts of strange cases to diagnose and cure! Make believe is a great way to get them using their imagination and creativity. The possibilities are truly endless!
