Fame. It lifts you higher than you've ever been and at the same time can send your world crashing down around you. You become an idol to the world and are expected to let us into your private lives, no questions asked. Everyday tasks such as taking a walk or going shopping with your family are now a publicized event.

The price of fame can be as simple as having your picture snapped on the side of the road, or even worse; death. To those we've lost this past year, let us take a lesson from their lives, and their deaths. Fame doesn't make you immune, it doesn't make you super human, or immortal.

As fans, we think it's our right to know every little thing that goes on with their lives. It isn't so. I'd like to see an average everyday normal person put themselves in the shoes of a famous person. Have people digging into your past, snapping pictures of you everywhere you go, spreading rumors about you on the pages of rag magazines. Exploiting your loved ones after you've passed on. I for one, wouldn't want to go into the business of being famous. It just isn't worth it.

Don't get me wrong, I love watching my favorite actors and actresses in the movies and TV shows they play in. And sometimes I go a little fangirl crazy with my artwork and icons. But I also believe in their right to privacy and what goes on behind closed doors at their own homes is nobody's business but their own. If they choose to let us in on what's happening, then so be it.

I believe there should be stronger laws when it comes to the Paparazzi. I believe that the famous have every right to defend themselves if someone gets in their face. I believe the dead should be left to rest in peace.

Maybe if more people would take a stand against the Paparazzi, stop buying the rag magazines and realize that they may be famous, but they're also human; there would be less tragedy in the Hollywood world.
